Job description
Blue Truck Logistics is a new kind of delivery company, one using technology to improve and automate how customers get critical goods. We deliver furniture both nationally as well as locally in the Altanta area. We are looking for a delivery lead that can take on some of our most prestigious customer installations.
This is a non-CDL role; you will drive a 26' box truck. Schedule is Tuesday - Saturday from 7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. You must be available to do at least one week per month on the road.
What you'll be doing
As delivery driver / helper you're responsible for delivering and setting up furniture inside customer's homes:
- We deliver couches, beds, desks, and other large bulky items. Safely unload items from the truck, bring them to the customer's residence, and set up the item.
- Products will need to be unboxed or unwrapped and taken to the customer's room of choice. You should have an outstanding mechanical aptitude, an ability to follow assembly instructions, and experience with basic hand tools like screw drivers and cordless drills.
- You think assembling a bed is a breeze.
- You are a master of padding & wrapping, and find the sight of exposed wood or upholstery on your truck to be personally offensive.
- Drive a 26' box truck.
- Provide great customer service and pleasant interactions at every opportunity.
- Ensure proper forms are filled out and signatures are collected.
- Safely drive a 26' box truck, keep customers apprised of arrival times, and manage your helper.
- You will also help out in our warehouse as needed.
What we're looking for
- Motivated, independent self starter - this isn't a warehouse or office, you're out on the road and we trust you to get your work done.
- Assembly and installation are required parts of this job. Experience with moving or furniture delivery will go a long way. Alternately if you have trade or construction experience this could be very useful.

Benefits
You will go through a one month training program with an existing delivery lead before being given your own truck and route.
Blue Truck Logistics offers medical coverage starting your second month of employment, regular holidays, and 10-15 days of paid vacation per year. We pay weekly. We are looking for hard working self-starters who want to grow with the company. The delivery lead position pays $175-$200 per day with an additional per diem for out of town trips.
