Position: Manager II, Tax Technology, Data and Platforms

Job Location: 702 SW 8th Street, Bentonville, AR 72712    

Duties: Perform hands on detailed data research and analysis of a large financial data set; investigate, troubleshoot and resolve data quality issues using ETL tools Python and Alteryx. Manage the Indirect Tax compliance technology tools and processes to support key compliance activities. Define business requirements for technical development based on input from stakeholders and analysis of data sets on enterprise initiatives such as SAP S4 implementation. Lead audit data requests identifying and reconciling data across multiple disparate systems such as Google Big Query, SAP and other internal web applications. Support the delivery of the Tax technology projects, independently drive smaller projects or components of larger projects; support project prioritization discussions, timelines and trade-offs with business partners. Manage the document retention solution approach for the Tax Department by migrating the data across file servers. Create and disseminate functional documentation for product solutions using MS Office suite applications. Understand the business line, supporting information technologies, and finance/accounting/tax disciplines, as well as the impacts on each project. Develop standard operating procedures for managing data and developing custom tools. Provide program communication to current process owners and stakeholders. Deploy IT initiatives for the Tax function such as data automation, data analysis, reporting and visualization. Build and maintain relationships with key technology providers and other technical teams across the organization. Work with IT to prototype, develop, implement and test developed systems. Develop and deliver training programs for all newly implemented technology solutions. Ensure teams of Tax personnel have proper access rights to Client software applications. Build and support product tax data platform using Google big query, UDP and PySpark.

Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field OR Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field plus 2 years of experience in software engineering or related experience .

Skills required: Must have experience with: configuring and enhancing automated data analytic processes using Alteryx and Python; developing visualizations using Tableau/Power BI for tax teams to analyze data; accounting, financial, tax and Retail industry life cycle to support business with technology solutions; utilizing Web API/REST API data to ingest into data pipelines using ETL tools; designing and developing relational databases to store and analyze financial information using SQL Server; analyzing bid data using Google big query, UDP and PySpark; managing Tax technology projects, independently driving smaller projects or components of larger projects; Windows PowerShell Scripting to automate data and system processes; building triggers, stored procedures, views, CTEs, indexes and complex queries using MS SQL Server; arranging weekly sprint meetings by working in an agile environment to complete tasks in a timely manner.
