JOB SUMMARY
SL&C is seeking a full-time customer and relationship focused sales professional to service and expand our ready mixed concrete market based at our various locations in Louisiana. The candidate would be responsible for promoting and selling concrete and associated products to market segments that include commercial, residential, industrial, and municipal customers. This individual will build and maintain relationships with customers, develop opportunities through customer and industry networks, and serve t the relationship between company and customer in a safe, professional manner that aligns with SL&C's core values.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Below are the primary and essential functions for the role of Concrete Sales Coordinator for SL&C. These are not meant to be comprehensive of all activities required of the employee for this role. - Manage requests received for mix submittals, projects and quotes ensuring proper follow up and assignment by department as well as creation and management of new sales opportunities.
- Obtain all required information to properly setup and/or alter projects for customers in Command Series based on the needs of the customer as communicated through sales and customer orders. This also includes follow-up on any orders requiring additional information to allow customer service / dispatch to attach new orders to projects.
- Assist Sales Representatives in obtaining pertinent contact information as needed/required.
- Generate monthly imports and assist the credit department with monthly lien releases for all projects.
- Daily review of preliminary invoice reports to ensure orders are on correct projects and priced correctly for customer base. Includes follow-up of any suspended invoices pending input from sales representatives and/or field personnel.
- Ongoing training for Command Concrete software, On-Base Document Management System and Microsoft Office solutions
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Two Years of sales experience, preferred
- Technical knowledge of concrete and mix designs, preferred
- Ready mixed concrete industry or construction materials background, preferred
- Three P's (Presentable, Professional, and Personable)
- Valid driver's license
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of applications

- Ability to type 60 wpm.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prospect, build, and maintain customer relationships
- Weekly reporting and documentation in relation to personal and company goals
- Provide technical guidance and recommendations for the protection of both the customer and the company
- Measuring, quoting, bidding, and submittal preparation and submission
- Promote company products and provide input on marketing opportunities
