Job Summary:
As an Asset Manager at the company, you'll play a vital role in optimizing the performance of our power generation portfolio. Reporting to the Senior Director of Asset Management, this remote position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge power plant technologies. Ideally, you'll be based in the Central, Mountain, or Pacific time zones.
Responsibilities:
- Drive initiatives to enhance fleet performance, maximize revenue sources, and streamline operational costs through collaboration across departments.
- Oversee major project documents and resolve agreement issues effectively, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Manage third-party operators to fulfill regulatory filing obligations and uphold commercial and governmental standards, including Health, Safety, and Environmental statutes.
- Lead the development of annual budgets and long-term business plans, working closely with plant managers to track performance.
- Provide comprehensive reports on financial and operational performance to stakeholders, including management, financing partners, and power off-takers.
- Collaborate with internal teams to optimize asset performance within market conditions and explore new business opportunities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Energy Studies, Environmental Studies, Engineering, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in energy industry roles such as technical or financial asset management, business management, or operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel for cost/benefit analyses and budgeting.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a proven track record of project management.
- Willingness to travel up to 30% as required.
