Description of Work Unit

The Department of Construction Management serves one of the largest construction management programs in the country with approximately 800 undergraduate students, 15 1620 graduate students, 21 faculty and 7 professional staff. The Department offers both a bachelors and master’s degrees in construction management. The Department works in collaboration with both the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and School of Education to offer interdisciplinary Ph.D. programs with construction management focus areas for students with diverse backgrounds and research interests. The undergraduate program is accredited by the American Council for Construction Education. Academic advising, and internship and career placement support is provided by professional staff. The department engages in teaching, scholarly, and outreach activities to promote the development of knowledge and skills related to construction management. The Department’s facilities include over 36,000 square feet in dedicated labs (physical testing and computer), classrooms, and offices to support its research, teaching, and service mission.
