Title: Process Controls/Automation Engineer
Location: Norwalk, CT & Waterbury, CT
Compensation: Negotiable

Our firm creates, produces, and markets additives for use by small and large businesses globally that produce well-known, branded products such as hydraulic oils, paints, coatings, engine oils, and rubber goods. Our products are typically only a small portion of the entire formula, but they are crucial to maintaining certain properties or performance standards.

What You Will Be Doing

- Assist with process control development in both locations (Norwalk & Waterbury).
- For new automation projects and upgrades, create or support the creation of process control systems, instrumentation design, controls logic, and wiring schemes.
- Support the troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of electrical instruments and equipment, as well as pneumatic and electronic controls.
- Create, implement, and debug distributed control systems.
- Help with the creation and upkeep of wiring schematics.
- Provide I & C guidance, including ISA S84 SIS/SIL safety instrumented systems assessments, for process hazards reviews (PHAs) as assigned.
- Lead front end loading (FEL) for instrumentation and process controls for projects and engineering modifications (MOC).

What You Need for this Position

- Bachelors Degree in Chemical, Electrical Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of process controls experience in a chemical setting
- Troubleshooting electrical controls instruments
- Implementation of Automation projects
