Job Title: Mulesoft Systems Engineer/ Developer

Project: Enterprise Integrated Platform as a Service (IPaas) Project

The City of Philadelphia (City) has purchased MuleSoft, a modern IPaaS solution to replace the outdated Software AG webMethods platform that is currently utilized. With this project, the City is looking to set up the MuleSoft platform for usage by departments across the enterprise that are looking to host integrations. The platform setup should be scalable, robust, and secure, able to handle diverse integration requirements, and include reusable components made available to integration project teams and built into development standards for a Center of Enablement. The initial implementation will include the migration of Software AG apis over to MuleSoft. The main user is the City's 311 department with integrations to Streets and Water. There is a total of six (6) of these initial APIs.

Job Description

The City seeks a Mulesoft systems engineer/developer to work with the systems/data engineering team to implement technical architecture design specifications developed by a Mulesoft platform architect in building out an enterprise iPaaS using Mulesoft, in alignment with the policies and standards of the organization. The engineer should have extensive knowledge of and experience with the Mulesoft ecosystem and experience implementing technical architecture design specifications into a fully functional enterprise iPaaS. The scope of work includes setting up an enterprise iPaaS environment, involving producing code for configuring and deploying Mulesoft ecosystem components, working with staff to implement DevOps for platform components as well as new integrations, developing reusable foundational components for a Center of Enablement (C4E), and transferring knowledge and demonstrating functionality by assisting the team with an initial integration implementation (i.e. 311).
