We are looking for a Product Manager to help create and drive product development in emerging technology spaces for NBC News Group. This person will work cross-functionally across technology, engineering and editorial stakeholder teams to deliver industry-leading software to NBC customers and effectively communicate strategy to leadership.
Responsibilities:
•Partner with others on the product team and key stakeholders to define a product vision and strategy that is then distilled into a roadmap set from key business objectives
•Collaborate with team to identify new opportunities to expand partnerships and increase revenue/decrease cost
•Identify and test new methods to drive engagement with our user communities
•Gather/analyze audience research to inform product strategy, enhancements, and define metrics for success
•Leverage customer insights from user experience research and analytics to iteratively drive continuous solution improvement
•Plan and execute (agile) roadmaps for web and mobile spaces by working cross-functionally with technology, engineering, and project management teams
•Provide clear vision and scope documentation, use cases, workflows, wireframes, design requirements, and other materials needed to support product creation and refinement
•Coordinate with project and stakeholder teams to deliver software update and release communication plans
•Utilize business insight tools and user analytics to make data-informed decisions
•Conduct customer and user interviews as part of developing user-focused solutions
•Bachelor’s degree in Product Management, Computer Science and Engineering, Communications, Technology, Business Administration or related field
•Minimum of 4 years of experience working with design and engineering teams on products with complex user interfaces
•Media background preferred
•Well versed with Agile and Scrum methodologies with an in-depth understanding of writing user stories
•Experience with product releases involving various systems and working closely with the release manager to roll the product out in a measured way
•Proven track record of managing different products and platforms
•Experience with multi-platform projects, media delivery applications for small to large audiences
•Knowledge of structure, capabilities, and standards relating to databases, browsers, content management systems, operating systems, software packages and languages
