The City of Pflugerville is offering a one-time $1500 incentive payment to new hires in the Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator position. The incentive will be paid 30 days after the hire date.

As a Treatment Plant Operator I, II, III for the City, you will be responsible for operations of the Wastewater Treatment plant, composting, Recycle Center, and maintenance duties to ensure quality control in accordance with federal, state, and municipal regulatory policies and standards.
Treatment Plant Operator I (Wastewater) - $42,938 - $54,746
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Assists in preparing and maintaining plant records, both operational and regulatory.
- Performs the required operational laboratory tests.
- Advises the Wastewater Treatment Foreman of needed maintenance in the plant.
- Responsible for the implementation of appropriate safety standards.
- Performs daily checks of the Wastewater Treatment Plant
- Other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience/Certification Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in operating and maintaining Wastewater Treatment plants.
- Grade D Wastewater Treatment License of the ability to attain a D Wastewater Treatment License within 1 year.
- Valid Class C Texas driver's license with the ability to obtain a class B. commercial license within 6 months.
Treatment Plant Operator II (Wastewater) - $47,339 - $60,358
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Assists in preparing and maintaining plant records, both operational and regulatory.
- Perform the required operational laboratory tests.
- Advises the Wastewater Treatment Foreman of needed maintenance in the plant.
- Responsible for the implementation of appropriate safety standards.
- Perform daily checks of the Wastewater Treatment Plant.
- Other duties assigned.
Education/Experience/Certification Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Two (2) years of experience operating and maintaining wastewater treatment plants.
- Grade C Wastewater Treatment License
- Valid Class C Texas Driver's License with the ability to obtain class B commercial license within 6 months.
Treatment Plant Operator III (Wastewater) - $54,801 - $69,870
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Directly supervises the wastewater treatment crew in the wastewater treatment plants required operational and maintenance duties.
- Performs annual performance evaluations of each member of the treatment crew.
- Assists the Wastewater Treatment Foreman in determining the hiring and termination of treatment personnel.
- Assists in preparing annual budgets for the treatment plant.
- Assists in preparing and maintaining plant records, both operational and regulatory.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience/Certification Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Five (5) years of experience in operating and maintaining wastewater treatment plants.
- Grade B Wastewater License.
