ORGANIZATION SUMMARY
Catholic Charities is one of the largest, oldest, and most comprehensive nonprofit human services organizations in Northern California, annually reaching more than 60,000 vulnerable individuals of all faiths in San Francisco, San Mateo, and Marin Counties. W ith an emphasis on str engths- and evidence-based , client-centered , and trauma-informed ca re, delivered by an experienced bilingual sta ff, we will p r ovide a secu re and enriching envi r onment for all youth. An individualized se r vice plan will move each child towa r d a successful sa f e and timely re lease and permanent home placement while building a robust suppo rt f ramework that will f ollow the child upon entering thei r new community setting .

The Child Care W o r ker will collectively develop and maintain secure home like environments in which youth ages 6 - 12 years old with severe emotional disturbances can experience stabl e, healthy attachments and develop more age approp ri ate social skills . Child Ca r e W orkers implement and integrate the youth’s tr eatment plans th r oughout all aspects of the youth ’ s day to day activitie s. Youth Care W orkers also car r y out va ri ous agency policies and procedures to ensure the smooth administration, coo r dination and operation of the va ri ous residential prog ra ms . Youth Care W orkers are responsible to the P r ogram Superviso r.

Education and Exp e ri e n ce :
- A Bachelo r of A rt s degree is p ref erred , especially in a Behavioral Scienc e.
- Experience with residential treatment , teaching , rec r eation, childca re, or other social service work also p ref erred .
- Child Care W orkers must possess a valid Cali f o r nia D ri ve r’ s License , and must possess the f ollowing abilities .
