Job description
The VIP Host is responsible for providing the highest level of professional service for all aspects of the VIP gaming Guest’s on-property experience while working collaboratively with the Player Development Host team. The VIP Host will identify new patrons and establish relationships with existing Guests to build loyalty that result in return visits to Thunder Valley Casino Resort. The VIP Host will be required to have the highest level of professionalism and customer service, be as master of problem solving, and work well with a team to deliver customer and financial results. Responsibilities must be performed in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures.
- Practice, support, and promote Thunder Valley Casino Resort’s “Winning Attitude” company-wide culture and demonstrate AAA Four Diamond service standards at all times.
- Greet Guests in the casino and participate in special events and promotions.
- Handle difficult Guests and situations in a calm, professional, and prudent manner.
- Proactively identify and resolve service failures; take immediate action to resolve service gaps and cement player loyalty and ensure return visits by using comp authority or making exceptions.
- Maintain close relationships with Guests to encourage property loyalty.
- Maintain a group of assigned gaming Guests.
- Maintain a high level of player recognition by communicating with Guests on a variety of topics and identifying Guests’ individual interests.
- Encourage the use of the Thunder Rewards card and promote the benefits of the higher tier levels to qualified Guests.
- Assist Guests and the Player Development staff in making reservations, issuing complimentary, representing the team at on-property and off-property events, and assisting with host duties during the shift.
- Determine player eligibility of complimentary services by analyzing theoretical and win/loss ratings.
- Identify ways to increase efficiencies and to improve products or services.
- Be knowledgeable of all events and promotions on property and in the competitive market.
- Comply with all applicable rules, regulations, laws and policies, and perform all duties with the highest level of integrity and honesty.
- Three (3) years of experience in a casino or hotel with customer service, host, or other account management experience. Luxury service experience is preferred.
- Proven ability to provide a high level customer service to a diverse group of Guests and Team Members.
- Cantonese, Mandarin, Vietnamese, Korean, Spanish or Tagalong language skills preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, problem solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to think independently in making decisions to maximize customer service experience and program profitability.
- Ability to effectively manage time and perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work collaboratively with Team Members on property to ensure the highest level of VIP service.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must be able to obtain UAIC Tribal Gaming License.
Physical Requirements:
- Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Manual dexterity to use job related equipment.
