Job description
Summary/Objective
As an Estimator, you will be responsible for the estimation of the entire project, including reviewing bid documents and specifications, creating take-offs, quantifying, and qualifying material quantities and prices for a precise and accurate bid proposal. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in construction project management, be organized, motivated, detail oriented and driven.
Essential Functions
· Review new projects posted for bidding· Obtains pricing for materials.
· Obtains bids from subcontractors.
· Generate and develop bids, leads via electronic and printed sources
· Perform accurate take-off of blueprints to confirm quantities
· Job site inspections for estimates and bids when warranted
· Organize and prepare pre-bid packages: secure plans, specifications, addendums, etc.
· Review bid specifications/blueprints in order to prepare bid package requirements
· Attend bid openings and pre-construction meetings when warranted
· Maintain relations with all vendors, clients, engineers, architects, owners, etc.
· Communicate bid information to Project Manager

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.

Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel
Travel may be required.
Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED diploma, or one to 12 months of related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Additional Requirements
· 10-year criminal background search.
