Dean’s Professional Services is now hiring for qualified, patient-care focused Certified Diagnostic Technician to work for a State Hospital in the The Woodlands, TX area.

Certified Diagnostic Technician   are responsible for integration scientific knowledge; technical skills, patient interaction and compassionate care resulting in diagnostic information, and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure. The Diagnostic Tech must demonstrate a detailed understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology. Radiographers must maintain a high degree of accuracy in radiographic positioning and exposure technique. In addition to radiological exams, Diagnostic Techs will also perform technical laboratory test and report results timely to providers.

Job Responsibilities:

• Checks room daily for adequate stock necessary to facilitate continuous exam flow.
• Confirms patient identity with approved identifiers.
• Demonstrating age appropriate care with all patients, appropriately prepares patients for procedures.
• Verifies patient’s pregnancy and informed consent statuses.
• Assesses factors that may contraindicate the procedure
• Anticipates and responds to patients needs throughout the entire encounter.
• Verifies patient and provider order per practice protocol.
• Positions patient using mechanical immobilization as necessary to obtain a clear film.
• Adjusts lead shields to protect areas not of primary interest.
• Ensures all persons in exam area are using radiation protection.
• Notifies Operations Support Leader, or designee, of needed radiology supplies weekly.
• primarily focus on obtaining Xrays on patients, additional tasks such a lab tests/POC testing might also be expected.

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent. Required.
• Technical diploma Graduate of a formal diagnostic Radiology program. Required.
• CMRT - Cert Med Radiologic Techngst State of Texas Required.
• R-ARRT - ARRT RegTech Radiograph via American Registry of Radiology Technologist. Required.
• BLS - Cert-Basic Life Support via American Heart Association. Required.

Job Details:

• Schedule varies; Typically M-F hours between 11a-11p, (arrive at 10:30am, sometimes leave after 11pm)
• $54/hr + benefits
• Full benefits – healthcare, dental, vision, 401k program
• Temp-to-Hire opportunity
