Position Summary:
The Manager role is a critical team member for the Bunge North America (BNA) Corporate Accounting and Treasury Back Office as the primary onshore accountant. The Scope includes USA, Canada, Mexico, and Finance & Holding Companies.
Core Functions: - Responsible for control, monitoring, and implementing policies and procedures that enable performance excellence via offshore India team and St. Louis team as well as adequate internal controls to support Sox compliance.
- Primary contact for questions, issues, and escalations from onshore and offshore
- Ability to perform as strong project team leader for improvement projects, new procedures, and software changes
- Assist with Audit & Sox Support
- Must thrive in dealing with non-routine issues, ad-hoc tasks, creating and refining processes, and robust process documentation
- Needs to proactively manage issues, schedule meetings, and meet in person with those in St. Louis and lead conference calls with India team including Training Sessions on screen share software
- Needs to have a hunger for driving continuous improvement in process and policy and driving beyond the first roadblock to accomplish tasks and find solutions
- Primary Corporate Department Liaison including Accounts Receivable, Credit, Accounts Payable, IT, HR, Legal, Treasury, Tax, Risk, Insurance, Internal Audit, External Audit, Sox, Planning, and Procurement
- Responsibility includes Balance Sheet, Bank Reconciliations, Corporate P&L, Corporate Cost Centers, Intercompany, Labor Related processes, Pensions, Tax Provisions, Foreign Currency, Fixed Assets, and Lease Accounting
- Treasury duties include Debt, Facilities, Interest Rate Swaps, collateral settlements, Investments, FX Revaluations, wire entry, wire approvals, and Cash Flow Reporting
- Government Reporting including support for 10-K and 10-Q
- GAAP Research
Skill/Experience Requirements: - Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is mandatory, Masters in Accounting is desirable
- Two to five years minimum of accounting experience needed
- CPA Certificate and License is a plus
- Ability to be a strong team player, self-motivated, and good communicator
- Attention to detail is imperative as well as strong problem solving, analytical, and organization skills
- Good Excel and Word skills are critical
- SEC large multinational experience with proven track record of additional responsibility attained within the same organization is a plus
- SAP, OneStream, and Financial Statement experience is a plus
