Job description
Greenwich Academy seeks a talented beginning teacher to serve as a teaching fellow in our ? history ? department. The fellowship offers a teacher new to the profession the opportunity to teach motivated, engaged students in a community that prizes learning and professional growth. The fellow will receive extensive mentoring from colleagues in the department and will have the opportunity to observe classes taught by those colleagues regularly. The fellow will likely teach two sections of United States history and will be asked to participate in other areas of school life, possibly including advising, coaching or helping with student organizations. An undergraduate degree in history or a related field is required. Participation in the University of Pennsylvania's Independent School Teaching Residency Program will be supported by Greenwich Academy if the fellow chooses to pursue a master's degree while at the school.
