About this opportunity

Align is currently looking for a Junior Engineer focused on Technology Risk Management in the Raleigh, NC office. This role will report directly to the Director, Technology Risk & Resiliency Management and will be responsible for the configuration, administration, and some development of the primary Governance, Risk, and Compliance application used in Information Security: ServiceNow GRC. This role will act as a business analyst for development teams outside of InfoSec as well as performing some changes directly to the platform following the Change Management procedures.

This position is part of the Raleigh, NC office and is expected to come to the office at least three times a week.

In this role, you will…

All responsibilities require experience in tracking, reporting, metrics and presentation skills to support management of the following global enterprise-wide technology risk management programs:

• Administer the ServiceNow GRC tool, essential to the management of the technology risk & resiliency management programs, including user management, configuration updates, coordination with ServiceNow vendor and other ServiceNow administrators in Align.
• Work with change requestors to identify and document necessary requirements and evaluate those requirements against the goals/strategy for the ServiceNow GRC platform.
• Continue the development of the ServiceNow GRC platform by identifying areas of improvement, documenting change tickets, and implementing changes.
• Work with other ServiceNow administrators to evaluate and apply biannual platform and application updates provided by the vendor.
• Work with other tools used by Information Security as needed
• Identify and execute on opportunities to further integrate with other systems used by Information Security.
• Support the Technology Risk Management team’s risk tracking and reporting efforts.
• Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

In this role, you’ll need …

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• 0-2 year experience in a Platform Development, Information Security, and/or Risk Management role
• Scripting development experience, ideally JavaScript

Nice to Have/Optional:

• Experience with ServiceNow Platform and interest in learning more
• Comfortable with self-directed learning
• Understanding of Risk Management concepts
• Curiosity about technology and a drive to know more

Travel:

• 5% for training purposes only
