POSITION DETAILS
Reporting to the Director of Student Support Services, the EOC Career Job Developer, (aHEO) works closely with all Student Support Services staff, especially the Sr. Career Job Developers and students in the identification of career interests in advance of or coinciding with EOC enrollment in an academic or career training. Exploring prospective internships, apprenticeships and employment opportunities for EOC students as part of a workforce development activities plan will be monitored, measured and pursued working with primary resources and key stakeholders. The successful candidate may also assist in the development of technology-based career exploration curriculum as part of the workforce development component appended to remote training programs. In addition, using established practices and procedures that assist the development of internships, apprenticeships, and prospective employment opportunities for Queens EOC program completers and graduates in coordination with the EOC Sr. Career Job Development other identified Student Support Services staff. He/she will assist Sr. Career Developers contact and outreach to completed program students performing job search efforts. He/she will provide support for the data collection and recording of job placement outcomes and other training related initiatives that impact the center???s employment related objectives.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree required.
Masters preferred in Human Resources Management, Education, Labor Relations, or an appropriate field of study.
At least three (3) years of related administrative or student experience working with an economically and academically underprepared population.
