Job description

Oversee the accounting team's daily operations, ensuring the provision of comprehensive accounting and clerical support, proficient management of Accounts Receivable and Payable, and the meticulous review and processing of expense reports.

Mentor and develop the accounting department in best practices for utilizing the Expense Reporting system, reconciling bank and credit card statements, coding and entering vendor invoices, contributing to monthly reporting, upholding accurate accounting records, and guaranteeing consistent data entry and database management. Facilitate bank account reconciliation and support the CFO and Controller with astute cash flow management; produce and dispatch financial reports for a segment of the aircraft fleet.

Process semi-monthly payroll and manage the disbursement of employee expense reimbursements using Paycom, ensuring timely and accurate financial transactions.

Oversee the administration of employee 401(k) contributions through the Empower system, ensuring seamless integration with retirement planning services.

Manage the coordination and contribution process for employee Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA), partnering with the Chief People Officer and Controller on these benefits offerings.

Assure the accuracy of financial reporting by performing audits for crew pay per diem, check airman, flight log/income, and supervising business/corporate AMEX transactions through Concur.

Conduct monthly business AMEX reconciliations, direct the month-end closing processes, and certify the precision of owner statements.

Lead interdepartmental collaborations with People and Culture, Owner Services, and Operations to optimize financial procedures and boost organizational efficiency.

Engage with the Sage X3 ERP system to enhance financial reporting and analytics, ensuring that the team is proficient in leveraging this technology for operational effectiveness.

Take part in and support the CFO and Controller with specialized auditing projects, providing expertise and oversight to ensure compliance and financial integrity.

Maintain accurate and transparent owner statements through the portal, potentially educating owners on the features and ensuring the financial reports reflect the high standards expected by stakeholders.

Ensure the accounting team operates smoothly, with a focus on the continuous training and development of team members to excel in their roles and support financial strategy. To do well in this role, you'll need:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or Master's degree welcomed.

Minimum of 10 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.

Extensive knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and cash flow management.

Proficiency in Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams), Concur, Paycom, and other financial software. Sage X3 ERP is a huge plus.

Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.

Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across departments and lead projects to successful completion.
