Geosyntec has an exciting opportunity for a Coastal and Marina Design Engineer or Scientist as part of our Marina Team in West Palm Beach, Florida . The selected candidate will have the unique opportunity to grow professionally within a renowned team dedicated to marina and waterfront projects and to participate in innovative sustainable international coastal resort projects and urban waterfront developments, including climate adaptation and nature-based solutions.

The position includes significant on-the-job training on specialized marina services.
Data research and analysis, including preparing maps, tables, and figures;
Site assessments, engineering and environmental evaluations, planning and design;
Preparation of technical reports, presentations, plans, specifications, and proposals;
Fieldwork mark be required periodically.
Travel (sometimes overnight) as projects require.
Bachelor's degree in Coastal, Ocean or Civil Engineering, or related environmental field. (required)
Ability to pursue professional registration/accreditation given requisite experience. (preferred)
Advanced degree in Coastal or Ocean engineering or closely related field. (preferred)
Prior internship or work experience (2 years preferred) in engineering consulting. (required)
Ability and desire to learn specialized marina consulting services to complement its technical background. (required)
Experience in relevant coastal engineering software. (e.g., AutoCAD Civil3D, Matlab etc.). (required)
Prior internship experience in environmental, civil, or coastal consulting. (preferred)
Experience performing coastal studies and analyses. (valuable)
Exceptional social skills and outstanding oral and written communication skills. (required)
Reading and writing in a second language (preferred)
Ability and willingness to perform fieldwork and travel. (required)
Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
