Blast Cleaning Technologies, Inc. (BCT) has a temporary EHS (Safety) Intern position available on our Safety/Operations team this summer!

BCT is a leader in blast equipment manufacturing and was founded on repairing, rebuilding and upgrading shot blast equipment. General Description

Under the direction of the EHS Manager, the EHS Intern will provide assistance in updating our current safety procedures, creating tracking for necessary documents, and a variety of other tasks aligned with our initiatives to create a safe working environment. This will be a hands-on experience in a state of the art manufacturing and Foundry facilities.

**This position would be temporary throughout the summer months to assist the EHS Manager in all necessary areas.**

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.

  1. Create and update EHS documents related to safety, environmental, and/or customer requirements. Maintain/organize current records on file.
  2. Coordinate with the EHS Manager on the updating and standardizing of compliance programs including Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space, Powered Industrial Truck, Overhead Crane, Respiratory, and Emergency Action Plan.
  3. Assist with creating, coordinating, and providing EHS training materials to educate employees on practicing proper work practices. Maintain training enrollment documents.
  4. Performs, coordinates, or participates in internal and external EHS assessments to ensure compliance with standards and regulations. Support development and closure of action item findings.
  5. Assist in the investigation of incidents related to injury/illness, environmental/process safety, property damage, or EHS near miss/Safety Catches to determine causes and preventive measures.
  6. Assist with inspection and maintenance of EHS-related equipment and supplies.
  7. Coordinate with 3rd parties to conduct health assessments, fit tests, industrial hygiene testing, and other evaluations to support customer and regulatory requirements.
  8. Support company leaders as an EHS resource.
  9. Other duties as assigned.
  10. Helps drive and support BCT's Culture and Core Values.
