Job description

We are currently accepting applications for the position of Human Service Worker (HSW) for our Aspire Academy program.

Aspire Academy is a residential treatment center for teenage girls who have experienced significant trauma. An HSW functions as a mentor/behavior technician who is responsible for the well-being of our clients. On our team, their role is to perform assigned tasks and model behaviors that contributes to a safe and supportive environment

Schedule:

Days: Saturdays & Sundays, Hours: 2:00 PM - 11:00 PM

Compensation:

$15.62 - $19.79 per hour (depending on experience)

Additional compensation available for Spanish speakers, after testing proficienc y.

Essential Functions:

Our Human Service Workers participate in the development and social adjustment of clients/residents, p rovide one-on-one assistance and support, and a ssist with implementation of behavioral modification treatment programs and plans. This often includes the following tasks:

Assist with instructional and activity planning

Manage crisis situations

Teach independent living skills

Document client behaviors

Participate in staff and peer review meetings

Assist with document reviews

Monitor client reactions to medications

Assure safety of the clients

Assist with crisis intervention

Participate in general maintenance of facilities

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED and one (1) year post high school education in social work, psychology or a related field and one (1) year of general work experience, or an equivalent combination of related education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Ability to drive center vehicles, as needed

Employment at Wasatch Behavioral Health is contingent upon successful completion of a drug screen, motor vehicle record review and criminal background check. After hire you must complete and receive a Criminal Background Clearance (BCI) from Utah State Office of Licensing. Upon receipt of a conditional offer of employment in the position, you must provide an official copy of licensure or certification.
