Job description
Disney Publishing Worldwide (DPW) is seeking a Manager- Brand Strategy & Studio Relations who will implement brand and content strategy for assigned brands, franchises, and strategic initiatives! In this role you will work closely with select brand and studio relations teams that serve as the primary DPW point of contact, ensuring creative and campaign alignment as well as the global health of each team's brands.
You will report directly to the Director, Brand & Content Strategy of Disney Publishing
This is a Full-Time role.
Every single day in the Manager Brand Strategy & Studio Relations role is different! On any one day, you might:
Brand & Franchise Management:
Serve as a DPW ambassador to influence, communicate, and align brand and franchise strategy and tactics across The Walt Disney Company and new intellectual property
Manage assigned businesses, providing a comprehensive content and product view for North America and the global business
Ensure inclusion and representation in cross line of business Consumer Products Games & Publishing initiatives tied to assigned brands and franchises
Build and manage overarching global brand plans including XLOB content strategy, consumer targets, creative development, marketing initiatives, retail activations, timelines, etc.
Content Strategy:
Support the development and optimization of DPW content strategies across business models, channels, assigned franchises and brands, audiences, and formats
Leverage brand and franchise assets, as well as Studio partnerships, to influence strategies and decision-making around business model choice, growth drivers, target setting, and optimal pub planning
Communicate content and product strategy with assigned internal partners (international, marketing, sales) to support and drive the execution of a unified global product roll-out
Identify under-supported franchises and high-demand intellectual property that could have the potential to become broader commercialization opportunities for assigned Disney Publishing Worldwide and Consumer Products Games & Publishing brands and franchises
Build consensus around assigned strategic planning efforts
Monitor industry research and trends and apply creative problem-solving to help inform go-forward business recommendations
Ensure proper execution of plans globally, while tracking success and evolving plans as needed
Studio Relations:
Partner closely with the teams overseeing Studio mobilizations, Studio presentations and screenings, Studio creative review meetings, and Studio pitch and brainstorm meetings tied to assigned properties
Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships across all assigned, internal content Studios to enhance partnerships and evangelize publishing to expand product opportunities
Partner with other Disney content engines to ensure team access and address challenges tied to creative resources and product development, as well as overall program alignment
7 or more years in a relevant partner management, project management, program management, creative development, business development, strategy, publishing, or similar field
Experience working on and leading cross-functional teams
Outstanding oral and written communication skills – diplomacy and interpersonal skills are a necessity
Experience in product development, project and program execution and/or project management
Energetic, highly organized, efficient, proactive, and adaptable
Attention to detail, accuracy, and design
Solid understanding of Keynote and Excel
Ability to manage multiple projects at any given time

The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $92,800 to $124,400 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.Job tags
