The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering has 23 faculty members, 400 undergraduates, and 150 graduate students. It has research programs in Communications and Signal Processing; Computer Engineering; Lasers, Optics, and Applications; Controls and Robotics; and Electromagnetics and Remote Sensing. The department participates in the CSU Information Science and Technology Center, the CSU-CHILL National Radar Facility, and the NSF Engineering Research Center for Collaborative Adaptive Sensing of the Atmosphere. It is home to the headquarters of the NSF Engineering Research Center for Extreme Ultraviolet Science and Technology. Many faculty in ECE hold courtesy appointments in the departments of Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, and Statistics, and collaborate with faculty in these and other departments. Known around the world for achievements in research, scholarship, and teaching, many of our faculty are fellows of multiple professional societies and hold the highest honors in their fields. Position Summary

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is seeking a research programmer and engineer to help with research, and troubleshoot the Coastal Storm Modeling System ( COSMOS) as part of the Advanced Quantitative precipitation System, a system of multiple systems linked by advanced software systems.

The candidate should help manage the COSMOS interface to the Advanced Quantitative Precipitation Information (AQPI) server operation for CSU-CHILL Radar Lab in collaboration with NOAA PSL.


Candidate will be able to troubleshoot Coastal Model System Interface with the AQPI system, system testing and development including data pipelining, LDM, processing scripts, and server installation/relocation considerations. Contribute to improvements to real-time website.
