Job description
Coastal Waste & Recycling is privately-owned waste disposal and recycling company. We are experiencing explosive growth and with growth comes opportunity.
We are currently adding an Assistant Controller to the team in Largo, FL. (Relocation assistance is available.) This isn’t your typical accounting position – our accountants don’t just spend their days looking at the computer screen and crunching numbers- they are an integral part of the business and are involved in operations, sales, customer service, and more.
In addition to handling daily transactions, maintaining & reconciling balance sheet and GL accounts, and posting journal entries, you will also support the management team in day-to-day and strategic decisions by analyzing data and providing insight. You will be a true business partner within your district.
The ideal candidate for this position will have an accounting degree, working knowledge of GAAP, strong Excel skills, and prior experience working in a similar role. Prior accounting experience in the waste industry helpful.
