Job description
The Enterprise Systems Engineer Team Lead is responsible for the team that oversees the administration (which includes architecture, design, installation, maintenance, configuration, and integrity) of server computing and storage platforms/HW. Responsibilities also include the Data Backup/Recovery/Disaster Recovery and Infrastructure Monitoring environments. Coordinates a team of IT personnel, vendors, consultants, and customers for implementation of new or revised functions. Assigns projects and sets project priorities for team members. Works directly with vendors to architect and quote various Server Compute/Storage/Data Backup/Recovery/Disaster Recovery and Infrastructure Monitoring solutions for the enterprise. Responsible for leading team to research industry trends and developments and incorporate them in Novant Health’s vision.

- Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
- Experience : Minimum of 10 years in an Information Technology setting, required.
- Additional Skills/Requirements required : Duties include, but are not limited to, installation, deployment, performance evaluation and tuning, technology research/evaluation, architecture design, capacity planning and mitigation for the Data Backup/Recovery/Disaster Recovery and Infrastructure Monitoring environments, both physical and virtual. Responsible for understanding the technical design and operation of the enterprise Data Backup/Recovery/Disaster Recovery and Infrastructure Monitoring. Responsible for coordinating with third-party vendors for maintenance to existing environments and planning for additional capacity and upgrades. Responsible for the architecture and design of new additions to the Data Backup/Recovery/Disaster Recovery and Infrastructure Monitoring environments and providing technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, and developing effective systems solutions that meet business application requirements.
