Job description

We are actively seeking a skilled and experienced Database Architect to join our team on an urgent basis. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the success of our projects, ensuring adherence to best practices, and driving solutions that meet high standards of stability and availability.

Responsibilities:

Review current solutions and provide guidance for the assigned projects.
Identify best practices and standards for the team to follow.
Attend daily agile calls.
Identify migration strategies and solutions as required.
Decompose solutions into Agile stories and timelines.
Ensure stability and high availability for all projects and solutions.
Track and manage the complete Request management life cycle using ITSM tools (SNOW/Rally).
Create documentation and update the knowledge repository for solutions, standards, and training.
Provide support and guidance on incidents affecting the assigned projects.
Collaborate with leaders and organizations across Sabre to review proposed solutions and recommendations.
Conduct capacity planning as required for migration strategies.
Ensure that strategies and solutions meet required performance SLA's.
Demonstrate understanding of new technologies, with a focus on Oracle 19c as a critical skill.

Technical Skills Required:

Subject Matter Expertise in Oracle and Couchbase/document databases.
Expert level knowledge of replication and High availability technologies.
Knowledge of Git, Linux Operating system, and familiarity with automation techniques (Shell/Python/Ansible/CloudFormation/Terraform).
Knowledge of Cloud Concepts and working experience on a cloud platform.
Architecture design skills with the ability to design end-to-end database solutions.

Minimum Years of Experience:

2 years in architecture.
6 years in Database architecture or engineering.
2 years of hands-on database operations.

Nice to Have:

Knowledge of MySQL/SQLServer/RDS/Cyberark, IDM.

Additional Responsibilities:

End-to-end architecture design solutions.
Work closely with leaders across the Sabre organization, as well as engineering and operations in the database group.
