Job description

This position is a 12-month limited-term position that may be extended and/or become permanent.


Under direction of the Business Operation Supervisor (Staff Services Manager I (Supervisor)), the incumbent will function as a Business Services Analyst and will be responsible for performing varied and technical analytical assignments of the Business Operations Unit including, but not limited to, tracking assets, maintaining inventory logs, shipping assets, logging and tracking vehicle mileage, assist withscheduling vehicle maintenance, and creating and updating procedures.


The reporting location for this position is Office of Energy Infrastructure Safety, 715 P Street, 20th Floor, Sacramento, CA 95814.


This is a remote-centered telework position that will telework 95% of time. A teleworker is considered Remote-centered if they work fifty percent (50%) or more of their time from an alternate work location.


This position is designated under the Conflict of Interest Code. The position is responsible for making or participating in the making of governmental decisions that may potentially have a material effect on personal financial interests. The appointee is required to complete Form 700 within 30 days of appointment.

The mission of the Office of Energy Infrastructure Safety (Energy Safety) is to advance long-term utility infrastructure safety through data-driven, wildfire mitigation evaluation and compliance, excavation standards and education, in collaboration with local, state, and federal agencies, and in support of improved utility infrastructure, safety culture, and innovation.
