Job Description:

We are actively seeking talented Life Insurance Underwriters to join our Consumer Markets Division, contributing to our mission of innovating our business and enhancing the customer experience. We are hiring at the Underwriting Consultant and Senior Underwriting Consultant levels, offering 100% remote work opportunities.

As a vital member of our team, you will evaluate insurance applicants, assessing all aspects of risk to make informed decisions on whether to accept, modify, or decline applications. Your focus on mortality risk evaluation, including medical history, treatment, and potential future risks, directly influences the placement of Life Insurance coverage and our relationships with distribution partners.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct wing-to-wing underwriting decisions, starting with the review of upfront underwriting data and tools.
- Manage additional underwriting requirements, determining value, ordering, and reviewing for risk selection.
- Finalize cases by data entering medical history and utilizing system workbenches for processing and decision-making.
- Demonstrate dependability, organization, and sound judgment by meeting productivity, quality, and performance standards.

Qualifications:

- 7-10+ years of Life Insurance Underwriting experience with expertise in underwriting processes and philosophies.
- Ability to handle advanced decision level authorities independently.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a knack for building relationships.
- Critical thinking and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret and explain complex information.
- Goal-oriented with excellent planning and prioritization skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree.
- BGA and Trial Experience.
- Completion of LOMA 280/281 and 290/291; actively working toward AALU, FLMI, and FALU.

Compensation:

The base pay range for the Senior Underwriting Consultant level is $119,070 - $145,530. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and geographic location, with additional incentive pay opportunities available.
