Listed as one of Newsweek’s 2024 Top Ten Nursing Homes with 150+ beds in Missouri, the Lutheran Home, located in Cape Girardeau, is looking for an
Occupational Therapist to work on a temporary basis starting February 12, 2024 for approximately 16 weeks.
This position will work with our talented team of healthcare professionals providing care and rehabilitation services to our residents within our long-term care community.
We recognize the commitment this role requires; therefore, we offer you:
- Flexible scheduling with no weekend option.
- Weekly pay of approximately $2,100 - $3,000.
- The ability to stay in one of our comfortable, furnished apartments, allowing you to be close to work and our community, or
- opt for a higher end travel pay, enhancing your financial rewards during this temporary assignment.
Requirements: - Licensed to work as an Occupational Therapist
- Current Missouri State License
- Successful completion of background check
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to :
- Test and evaluate residents’ physical and mental abilities and analyze medical data to determine realistic rehabilitation goals for residents.
- Evaluate resident’s progress and prepare reports that detail progress.
- Select activities that will help individuals learn work and life-management skills within limits of their mental or physical capabilities.
- Recommend changes in residents’ work or living environments, consistent with their needs and capabilities.
- Consult with rehabilitation team to select activity programs or coordinate occupational therapy with other therapeutic activities.
