About the Role As the Vice President, Cardiac Marketing you will be reporting into the Chief Strategy Officer. You will be responsible for overseeing the overall marketing function including product marketing, assessment of existing and potential markets, development of KOL relationships, identification of product requirements, evaluation of pricing strategies, product launch strategies and execution and brand management. You will develop and streamline a process to bring products to market rapidly and efficiently, ensuring alignment between the market, company strategy and business targets, in order to drive product success. As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will collaborate closely with the internal teams, including Engineering, Operations, Quality, Regulatory and Clinical.
You will make an impact by: - Developing and enhancing the Company’s current and future product marketing strategy and translating it into a maintainable product and marketing vision and roadmap for cardiac products.
- Defining the organization’s cardiac product objectives and initiatives and determine the long-term vision and direction towards that destination for the Company’s products.
- Managing new product definitions and drive development on time, on budget, and with high quality and value.
- Identifying current and future trends to refresh the marketing strategy, considering latest innovations, technologies, changes in competition, and shifts in the landscape.
- Identifying and planning differentiated and impactful marketing strategies/materials.
- Building strong relationships with payors, KOL’s and other leaders within the cardiac community with whom to partner to best understand the market, user requirements and feedback during the development process.
- Directing and supporting market research collection, analysis, and interpretation of market data for short- and long-term market forecasts and reports.
- Maintaining corporate imaging, branding standards and ensure consistency across all marketing and communications channels.
- Providing leadership and exercising decision-making regarding priorities, best practices, methodologies, and operational execution.
- Attracting, inspiring, and coaching a high performing team. Set team’s annual deliverables/objectives, performance goals, and empower them to deliver on Pulse Biosciences’ strategic priorities and objectives.
- Building and maintaining the highest professional image and long-term relationships with internal teams, clients, government officials and stakeholders.
- Functioning as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, work closely and collaboratively with internal teams.
- Developing and managing marketing budget and expenditures. Ensure marketing projects are delivered on-time and on-budget.
- Tracking metrics of new programs and initiatives and maintain an active awareness of marketing program success.
- Leading standards of high integrity and honesty in dealing with customer and colleagues.
- Attending trade shows, events and meetings as required.
To be successful, you will bring: - BS/BA degree required, MBA or MA degree in Marketing, or technical-related field or equivalent.
- 16+ years of progressive marketing experience with 5+ years of documented leadership experience in the medical device industry, preferably in cardiac surgery, cardiology, or electrophysiology.
- Experience bringing novel innovative technologies to the medical device market, preferably in the cardiac ablation field, from upstream product requirements through successful product launch.
- Experience developing and working with scientific advisory boards in the cardiac field.
- Deep understanding of cardiac rhythm/atrial fibrillation products and markets and their applications.
- Experience in both upstream product definition and downstream product development and execution in medical devices.
- In-depth knowledge of market research in medical devices.
