Summary:
Environment Business Division, North America (EBD NA) is looking for a Senior Product Marketing & Communications Senior Manager to join our team. If you have proven marketing experience in B2B, lead generation, and sales enablement and can flex and thrive in a lean start-up within a large, established global organization, we're looking for you.
The Environment Business Division North America team is focused on utilizing innovation to improve the world and the lives of its citizens. We bring together assets and innovations to develop end-to-end digital transformation solutions for our customers. Hitachi EBD NA provides sophisticated solutions to our customers primarily focused on sustainability and green solutions that help companies cost-effectively decarbonize their operations and facilities.
Role:
The Senior Product Marketing & Communications Manager will be responsible for EBD NA’s solution marketing activities and oversee the development and delivery of marketing strategies in coordination with multiple global business units. We are looking for an experienced leader who has experience in strong B2B experience across sales enablement and marketing including 1) Sales Enablement, 2) Solution Marketing, and 3) Brand Marketing 4) Communications.
Responsibilities:
Define a clear vision and develop growth drivers for success, including audience definition, customer needs, pricing, value proposition, messaging, competitive analysis, sales enablement and marketing strategy
Partner closely with the sales organization and SMEs to develop adequate lead flow to ensure we achieve quarterly sales targets
Partner closely with the VP/GM EBD NA to support the development of all the executive presentations and the internal and external messaging and collateral as required.
Develop, execute, and measure integrated campaigns to achieve sales and marketing goals in building awareness, lead generation, and pipeline
Manage and optimize marketing automation (Salesforce.com, Marketo) platforms to support periodic and evergreen marketing campaigns, including social media and email campaigns, email newsletters, etc.
Develop and promote our industry event/trade show plans throughout the year
Own the overall go-to-market strategy, including cross-functional leadership, to deliver on key success factors for each solution
Define market readiness for products and solutions, including conducting market research and VOC interviews and studies, defining value propositions, identifying target segments, customers, and personas, and executing marketing strategies
Update, manage, and monitor the EBD-NA website related to visual design, storyline content, site visitor acquisition and retention, landing pages, and lead generation, including integration with CRM platforms.
Develop expertise on product capabilities in the competitive landscape and develop a strong value narrative to demonstrate products and solutions competently
Develop sales materials, assets, and collateral to support the Sales / Business Development team to prospect, qualify, and close opportunities successfully
Create thought-leading and industry / solution-specific marketing materials and content across digital communications, such as customer presentations, one-sheets, case studies, articles, whitepapers, emails, videos, podcasts, webinars, presentations, web copy, advertisements, trade show/event materials, social media, email newsletters, etc.
Work closely with HAL and other Hitachi Group companies to develop webinars, videos, social media, press releases, podcasts, and other marketing assets and promotional materials to support communications, subject matter experts, and EBD sales enablement activities
Develop compelling marketing collateral, including product messaging, case studies, whitepapers, executive presentations and other materials that resonate with target audiences.
Design (including graphics), write, and edit communications materials, including presentations, reports, and briefing prep materials
Develop deep knowledge of the business and be the expert in market trends, competitive landscape, and market growth drivers
Be a powerful storyteller with expertise in customer empathy, motivations, and pain points.
Engage, manage and monitor marketing sub-contractors that are responsible for Marketing event, collateral or services execution.
Required Qualifications:
10+ years of proven experience in high-tech marketing and product marketing, with a consistent track record of performance.
5-8 years of experience marketing B2B technology products - preference for expertise in energy, manufacturing, and clean technologies (solar, battery storage, etc.).Excellent written, PowerPoint, design, graphic, and verbal communication skills, and the ability to produce precise, concise writing and materials under stringent deadlines – examples of work product will be requested during the interview process.
3 years experience in marketing with business start-ups, corporate ventures and/or corporate incubators
High proficiency with graphics, video, and business applications such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Premiere Pro, etc.), PowerPoint, and MS Office Suite.
Experience developing positioning, messaging, and GTM strategies for product analytics or product experience management solutions.
Be able to demonstrate successful experience developing and executing enterprise B2B sales plays and proven experience creating and leading sales enablement materials.
Develop marketing dashboards and materials to capture marketing metrics and provide insights and analysis to teams to improve the performance of marketing and sales strategies over time
Experience managing marketing sub-contractors
Strong project management skills, including conceptualization, driving alignment, planning resources, handling deadlines and objectives, and delivering analysis and recommendations.
Demonstrate creativity and flexibility - you must be able to adapt to change, try new approaches and willingness to learn from your mistakes.
Outstanding executive presence and presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate priorities and sophisticated ideas and influence across partners and organizations.
Track record of successfully building relationships, influencing, and collaborating with cross-functional teams, with experience and ability in managing junior staff and contractors
Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, technology, or a relevant field. Industry technical certifications and an MBA are desirable.
Ambitious, self-starter, and problem solver who can identify and set short- and long-term strategic priorities.

For residents of New York City, New York, California, and Washington state only, as required under applicable pay transparency laws, the expected salary range for this position if filled remotely is $170,000 - $185,000. Pay is determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, depth of experience in the practice area. Employees are eligible to participate in Hitachi America’s variable pay program, subject to the program’s conditions and restrictions.
