Job description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Financial Analyst. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting our finance and accounting functions by providing analytical insights, financial modeling, and reporting to aid in strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including variance analysis and commentary.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes.
- Perform financial analysis to evaluate business performance, identify trends, and recommend areas for improvement.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support decision-making, scenario planning, and sensitivity analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant data and provide insights into key performance metrics.
- Assist in the evaluation of capital expenditure proposals and provide financial justification for investment decisions.
- Participate in ad-hoc projects and initiatives as assigned by senior leaders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in financial analysis or related roles, preferably in a corporate finance environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling skills are required. Experience with financial planning software (e.g., Adaptive Insights, Hyperion, etc.) is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively present complex financial information to stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Prior experience in the transportation or logistics industry is preferred but not required.
