About the Role
The General Dynamics Land Systems Summer 2024 Internship Program provides an opportunity for students looking to start or continue the transition from academia into industry. Our three-month internship assignments provide compensation based on area of study and class standing, and have the students embedded in key functional areas of our business, getting real-world experience and mentorship from seasoned professionals. As part of your summer experience, you will join our team and use your education, experience, and creativity to make an impact.

Responsibilities to Anticipate for this Role
- Assist in preparing weekly labor reports to management such as suspense, lost time, and unapproved timecard reports.
- Monitor suspense labor charges, follow up on users inquiries.
- Assist with weekly new employee setups and submit access request to the timesheet system.
- Assist with payroll account reconciliation and files conversion of labor and payroll accounts and journals to PDF.
- Assist with ad hoc labor requests to auditors.
- Update labor and payroll desktop instructions to a standard format.
Qualifications Sought
- Pursuing a bachelors degree, majoring in finance or accounting from an accredited 4-year university or college.
- Attained at least a sophomore status based on university/colleges class standing requirements at the start of the internship
- GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be a U.S. Person (i.e. a lawful permanent resident of the U.S.)
- Must successfully pass standard pre-employment screens and must provide an official college or university transcript from their school before their first day of employment.
- Must be able to complete a minimum of a full-time, three- month assignment
