Position Overview: Director of Finance

As a key member of our Leadership Team, the Director of Finance plays a vital role in our organization's financial stewardship. Reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer, the Director oversees accounting, reporting, budgeting, payroll, and cash management, ensuring the fiscal health and sustainability of THT.

Responsibilities:

- Manage all financial and accounting functions to ensure organizational success and fiscal stability.
- Lead the development, administration, and review of financial plans and budgets.
- Oversee financial, project/program, and grants accounting, ensuring compliance with requirements.
- Prepare and present accurate financial reports to stakeholders, including the Board of Trustees.
- Develop and maintain cash forecasting models to meet financial needs.
- Supervise and lead the Finance team, providing guidance and support.

Requirements:

- Commitment to health equity, anti-racism, and social justice.
- 7+ years of financial/accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a nonprofit setting.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or similar field.
- Expertise in nonprofit accounting and grant/contract accounting principles.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Master's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field.
- 10+ years of nonprofit financial/accounting experience, with supervisory experience.
- Working knowledge of Sage Intacct accounting software.
- Connection to the Trenton community is desirable.
