Job Description
In this role, you will be a critical member of the legal team, providing support to the Associate General Counsel, Privacy & Digital in carrying out all day-to-day responsibilities for Vuori’s privacy program for this exciting company as it grows and scales. You will interface with business partners across the organization and help elevate the legal team’s strategic partnership with the business, playing an important role in bringing the Vuori brand to life.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Collaborating with the Associate General Counsel, Privacy & Digital to build a global privacy program that defines, develops, maintains, and implements policies and processes that enable consistent, effective privacy practices.
- Own the development and maintenance of the privacy model and equip the team to track progress over time
- Establishing and Ensuring privacy forms, policies, standards, and procedures are up to date.
- Collaborating cross-functionally with teams including Marketing, Tech, Security, Supply Chain, external consultants and auditors on process improvements, documenting standards and procedures, and ensuring deadlines are achieved.
- Collaborating with Information Security to ensure alignment between security and privacy compliance programs including policies, practices, controls and investigations.
- Overseeing privacy risk assessments, remediation of gaps and monitoring privacy risks and problems
- Overseeing, developing, and providing privacy training to the workforce.
- Communicate and escalate Privacy questions and concerns to leadership and counsel as needed.
- Maintains current knowledge of applicable global, federal, and state privacy laws and accreditation standards.
- Leading the data inventory and mapping effort of Vuori systems, both local and in the cloud
- Creating accurate functional documents, project plans, and roadmaps to keep the team on track and coordinated.
- Assisting in, and reviewing of privacy rights requests and associated processes
- Taking a lead role, to ensure the organization has and maintains appropriate privacy and confidentiality consents, authorization forms and information notices and materials reflecting current organization and legal practices and requirements
- Support vendor due diligence by conducting privacy reviews on key contractual agreements
- Collaborating with security and other incident response team members on potential incidents related to personal information.
- Establishing and maintaining an effective and engaged network of privacy champions and key stakeholders within the business unit to drive and embed a culture of privacy
- Assist in other duties as needed and directed
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an IT, Legal or Audit related field of study, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in privacy management
- Experience working in a consumer centric industry preferred
- Working knowledge of U.S and international privacy law, including GDPR, CCPA, PIPL, etc.
- CIPP,CPIM, CIPP/T or other privacy or cybersecurity or other applicable certification preferred but not required
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects at the same time effectively and efficiently, remain flexible, manage expectations, anticipate needs and respond to changing demands in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, thinking strategically and acting tactically in prioritizing, re-prioritizing and following through
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective, professional and collaborative relationships amongst diverse internal and external stakeholders at all levels
- Strong project management skills
- Be able to demonstrate the existence of emotional intelligence in challenging situations
- Comfortable facing ambiguity and taking initiative to identify solutions
- Able to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the business, including the ability to reduce complex issues to simple communication

Pay Range: $149,000-$175,000/yr
