Scope of Position:

This is a “hands-on” research position focused on application of science and engineering principles to industrial problem-solving and includes a significant amount of materials process engineering. The responsibilities of this position include participating in various R&D projects, both fundamental and applied. The responsibilities also include maintenance and operation of laboratory equipment as well as adaptation of existing equipment or building of new equipment as required. This position requires a thorough understanding and application of standard engineering or scientific theories, concepts, principles, and techniques. It also requires the ability to develop and resolve solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity. It is expected that the candidate will work under general direction with well-defined objectives. Other expectations for this role include contributing to new product development, building internal and external professional networks, writing technical reports and contributing to intellectual property.

The range for this position is $62,310.00 - $85,677.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
