Job description
- Attend pre-construction walk-through with the project manager to establish scope understanding and job limits.
- Study and understand plans, specifications, and project details. Further develop work plans as necessary to incorporate with construction.
- Review, analyze and discuss estimate and building methods with estimators and project managers.
- Offer suggestions for value added ideas at the field level.
- Calculate quantities and dimensions to ensure accuracy of estimated budget and schedule prior to performing work and as work is performed.
- Complete 3-week schedules, provide input and updates to overall schedule and discuss any conflicts of change of scope with project manager as they arise.
- Schedule and manage equipment and crew needs with project manager and support staff throughout the duration of the project and report any mechanical, maintenance and staffing issues as necessary.
- Conduct daily toolbox meetings with crew and discuss Job Hazard Analysis for the day.
- Supervise construction crews, subcontractors and suppliers and ensure proper inspections and quality control for any materials delivered and work performed on all.
- Adhere to company and industry specific safety standards to provide the highest level of safety to all workers and community members affected by our working.
- Verify subcontractors/suppliers are briefed on and adhere to DBA quality and safety.
- Assist Human Resources with individual performance.
- Maintain accurate daily logs, reports, timesheets, etc. and complete timely submission to appropriate team members and support.
- Review daily crew members' timesheets and compare job codes for accuracy prior to submission for payroll.
- Review and analyze the progression of project information including measurements, quantities, and cost reports, make final calculations and discuss with project manager upon.
- Attend final punch list walkthrough with owner and project.
- Pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
- Be able to provide valid documentation for the I-9 Immigration Document
- Attention to detail and follow directions.
- Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required.
- Must have own transportation to various work sites within the state of Arizona.
- Must have own finishing tools.
- Steel boots are required.
- Strictly adhere to safety requirements and procedures
- Must have own nail bags and tools for forming and finishing.
