Bayview Physicians Group is looking for an IT Support Specialist to join our team.

Our Support Specialists provide technical support to over 1000 end-users, including physicians, medical staff, and patients. The IT Support Specialist troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains software and hardware systems to mitigate downtime and improve performance. This is a communication-heavy role. Interested individuals must be comfortable utilizing multiple forms of communication to solve problems. This role requires the ability to write detailed documentation in order to maintain a comprehensive knowledge base. Ideally, the Support Specialist will be engaged in thoughtful leadership, best practice development initiatives, and employee training. 

Qualifications

• Critical thinking, attention to detail, and analytical skills required
• Experience with virtualization platforms, including VDI, preferred
• Familiarity with the healthcare industry, including billing and coding, a plus
• Strong communication skills, both written and spoken
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical end-users
• Advanced troubleshooting of virtual machines, PCs, and networking equipment
• Experience and expertise with Microsoft Windows
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server operating systems
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in relevant specialty preferred

Responsibilities

• Respond to and resolve end-users’ requests for technical support in a timely manner
• Configure, maintain, and update various software and hardware systems on workstations and servers
• Provide guidance and training to end-users as needed
• Travel locally to perform on-site troubleshooting and other technical support needs
• Participate in an on-call rotation to provide support outside of business hours
• Work overtime as needed
• Establish quality relationships with physicians, medical staff, and co-workers
