Are you looking for your next challenge supporting research & development? Come join a dynamic team supporting the Defense Threat Reduction Agency's (DTRA) Research and Development (RD) Directorate! ARServices is seeking a qualified candidate to support the DTRA RD Operational Planning Integration (RD-OPI) Division’s international engagements team.
The ideal candidates for this position have DoD or other governmental agency experience with partnership / international agreements for R&D or related programs and have a broad understanding for DTRA RD’s mission and portfolio. In this position, you will provide advisory & assistance services (A&AS) to OPI’s international portfolio. You will assist RD-OPI portfolio managers to coordinate capability development with the Military Services, Combatant Commands, international partners and the interagency. This position requires overseas and stateside travel several times a year.
Responsibilities
- Provide Assistance and Advisory Support (A&AS) for international collaborations pertaining to chemical, biological, nuclear, and radiological (CBRN) matters to DTRA RD’s International Engagements Team (RD-OPI).
- Work with U.S. Science and Technology Managers and foreign military science and technology agencies to develop and execute International Agreements for cooperative research and development projects for chemical and biological defense.
- Facilitates and participates with client in NATO panels to establish international collaborative research, lecture seminaries, and long-term studies pertaining to chemical and biological defense.
- Facilitates and participates with client in action office to senior leader level meetings with international partners such as the United Kingdom, the Republic of Korea, the Republic of Singapore, and Australia.
- Responsible for reviewing all department forms and material prior to routing for Foreign Disclosure Office (FDO) review.
- Maintain communication and information flow among team members to maintain awareness of all current and upcoming task.
- Develop and route staff action packages for approval.
- Respond to routine and short notice taskers as required.
- Develop and use multiple tracking systems to maintain organization to accomplish complex and highly technical goals.
- Support government senior leadership on international engagement related actions.
Requirements
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI.
- Bachelor of Science in a technical science-related field of study or international affairs/relations plus 8-10 years of relevant experience, MS desired.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills. Able to effectively communicate with senior leadership.
- Experience in DOD, the Defense Threat Reduction Agency, interagency, or a similar type staffs.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working or coordinating with US Embassy Country Teams; Defense Attaché Office.
- Experience developing, staffing, or managing partnership / international agreements.
