Role: Finance Assistant

Location: officed based - Ilkeston, Nottingham

Hours: 37.5hrs per week, flexible working offered

Salary: £25,000 to £30,000 (experience dependent)

About the role

The successful candidate will join the Finance & Admin Team to support the Finance Business Partner in the smooth and efficient running of the Finance Function.

They will enable prompt completion of monthly reporting and provide the Senior Management Team with up to date information that affects decision making that will drive this growing business forward.

The foundation of this will be the maintenance of the ERP system (SAP) through purchasing, sales and bank

Main Responsibilities

• Assist the FBP and Finance & Admin Team with other duties as the business requires, including but not limited to cash forecasts, month end, audit, prepare VAT data for review and submission, corporation tax, timesheets.
• Regular review of Finance Function procedures providing recommendations of improvements
• Create and maintain analytical reports to ensure up to date information is provided to the Finance Business Partner and the Senior Management Team
• Assist the FBP and Finance & Admin Team with other duties as the business requires, including but not limited to cash forecasts, audit, prepare VAT data for review and submission, corporation tax and timesheets
• Complete month end tasks such as bank recs, invoicing and journals in a timely manner, for review by the FBP

Technical skills and experience:

• An ability to plan and prioritize, in order to meet regular deadlines.

• Outstanding communication skills both written and oral are imperative for this role. 
• An eye for detail, focused on quality and accuracy without compromising deadlines.
• Experience working with SAP is beneficial but not essential

Qualifications :

• AAT level 3
• Qualified/Part-Qualified ACA or ACCA, CIMA desirable however not essential
