Department: Asset Management
Our Asset Management team is a hardworking and thorough group that works directly with clients and third parties to make sure that all the assets in a client’s estate align with both attorney recommendations and client goals. As a member of the Asset Management team, you will regularly problem solve, protect confidential client information, and research information on various asset types.
About Your Role
McCullough Law is seeking a full-time, career-minded Asset Specialist to join our growing company. This specialized legal assistant role is responsible for researching and documenting details of our clients’ estates. Each estate ranges from simple to complex and includes a diverse portfolio of assets.
Responsibilities
- Review, record, organize, and analyze estate assets, client notes, and legal documentation to create a comprehensive overview of each client’s estate
- Extract key information from legal documents, state and county records, and other third-party documentation to accurately outline attorney recommendations for our team, our clients, and their advisors
- Critically think through all research and documentation to ensure attorney recommendations are implemented and client goals are accomplished
- Draft and/or prepare documentation and forms to transfer assets according to federal, state, and county laws and requirements and attorney recommendations
- Accurately enter data into the applicable documents and/or forms
- Communicate with third parties (financial advisors, CPAs, government agencies, etc.) to ensure assets are titled according to attorney recommendations
- Collaborate with team members on all aspects of the client’s estate
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of professional experience in the legal, finance, healthcare, or business field
- Must have professional appearance and demeanor
- Excellent critical thinking, analytical, and research skills
- Impeccable attention to detail
- Effective time management and organization to meet and exceed deadlines
- Proven ability to work independently, maintain strict confidentiality, and implement feedback
- Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat
- Applicants must be available to work onsite Monday to Friday from 8:25 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of real estate, financial investments and bank accounts, private equity, life insurance policies, asset appraisal, and/or business structures and creation
- Customer relationship management (CRM) experience
- Familiar with different estate planning documents (i.e., will, health care directive, power of attorney, trusts, etc.)
- 60 WPM
