Responsibilities Include:
- Prepare SEC financial filings, including Form 10-K, 10-Q , Proxy other related filings
- Coordinate and build processes with various teams to manage collection of SOX compliant data and reports for disclosures included in SEC filings and earnings release process
- Partner closely with cross functional teams including legal, tax, FP&A and business leaders as required in the preparation of footnote disclosures
- Preparation of cash flow statement, journal entries for corporate accounting activities such as equity, portfolio investments and annual goodwill assessment
- Play a key role in the preparation of quarterly close review packages and audit committee presentation materials
- Initiate and lead ongoing process improvement, which includes enhanced financial analytics for reporting leveraging automation and data from multiple financial systems and tools
- Identify and improve internal processes and controls in conjunction with quarterly review, annual audits and SEC filings
- Drive ad hoc projects and prepare technical accounting memos or research in the review and assessment of accounting and financial reporting implications of complex contracts and transactions
- Support internal and external audits by timely review and submission of requested schedules and other reporting information to the audit teams and ensure resolution of audit inquiries
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration
- At least three years of related work experience. Big 4 accounting experience at least as a senior auditor
- Hands-on experience with filings of 10-K, 10-Q, Proxy and other SEC filings associated with financial reporting is preferred
- Demonstrated experience with process and system automation
- Experience in researching complex accounting issues and documenting accounting positions in technical memos
- Active CPA license required
- Self-starter who is willing to take initiative and achieve results
- Exceptional commitment to meeting strict deadlines in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to develop innovative solutions to complex problems
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal
- Real passion for continuous improvement of systems and processes
- Experience with SAP, Workiva, Equity accounting systems is preferred
