Established (35+ years) Aerospace and Defense Technology Solutions Provider Seeks Cybersecurity Engineer! Hybrid Remote Fairfax, VA or Concord, NH!

Who you are:
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science or Computer/Electrical Engineering
- 3+ years of cybersecurity/information assurance experience
- Security+, CISSP, and CCSP Certifications
- MDR/SIEM and log analytics experience
- NIST Framework implementation
- Cloud Security administration
- Server/Workstation Hardening
- Firewall administration
- Vulnerability management and remediation experience
- Linux Server Administration is a plus
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills to communicate with customers effectively.
What you will be doing:
- Deploy and configure security tools, technologies, and solutions to protect against cyber threats
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments to identify and address potential security weaknesses and coordinate remediation efforts in a timely manner
- Investigate and analyze security incidents, providing timely and accurate reports to management
- Support activities of the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) in developing and enforcing security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Stay up-to-date of the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and vulnerabilities to adjust security measures accordingly
- Implement and manage SIEM/MDR systems for real-time monitoring of network activities and respond to potential security incidents including conducting thorough investigations to determine the root cause
- Configure and maintain security settings for operating systems, applications, and network devices
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure the effective deployment and maintenance of security technologies
- Participate in the development and delivery of security awareness programs and training for employees
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of security processes, procedures, and incident response activities
- Collaborate with external partners and internal teams to conduct periodic audits, pen test and tabletop exercises
- Ensure network security best practices are implemented through auditing, router, switch, firewall configurations, change control, and monitoring
- Create workstation and server baseline configuration
