Requirements of the Motorcycle/Powersports Technician/Mechanic:
- Must have a valid driver license with motorcycle validation and have a clear driving record.
- Must maintain a motorcycle inspection certification.
- Formal training program such as MMI Service School or equivalent work experience preferred.
- Basic and special tools knowledge to properly diagnose and service our products.
- Ability to effectively perform repairs properly in a timely manner.
Responsibilities for Motorcycle/Powersports Technician:
- Diagnosis, adjustment and repair of motorcycles, ATV’s, scooters, mopeds, dirt bikes, lawnmowers, snowblowers, generators, tillers and trimmers.
- Perform set up and pre-delivery inspection.
- Perform Pennsylvania State Inspections as required and complete appropriate documentation.
- Request parts for the job as early as possible when needs become known.
- Perform service, repair, and customization work in accordance with factory standards.
- Complete quality repair work within the outlined time period.
- Notify management of work needed or any delays in expected completion as soon as they become known so that customers may be contacted and notified.
- Communicate with service advisor, and document repair work appropriately.
- Test riding to ensure repair is complete and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain knowledge base through training and industry readings.
- Keep work area clean and stay professional.
