Hand Mig Welder

1st Shift

$20

Essential Duties and Requirements of the Job:

· Responsible for actively supporting Continuous Improvement initiatives of the facility.

· Read and evaluate drawings.

· Determine correct material. ·

. Operate MIG Welder and hoist.

· Adjust all equipment and material as needed including but not limited to the wire and welder.

· Measure parts and assure that measurements are correct and visually inspect parts.

· Assure that a quality penetration has occurred on all welds.

· Move, count and tag completed parts to appropriate areas.

· Complete daily production logs indicating all required information including put not limited to down time, set up periods, counts, etc.

· Complete hoist and/or other equipment inspections daily as required.

· Accurately complete 1st piece inspections.

· Assist other departments when needed.

· Must maintain general housekeeping and an orderly work area.

· Responsible for all other procedures and instructions as required by the job function.

· Must adhere to all safety and environmental policies.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

· Must be able to accurately read a tape measure.

· The ability to adjust to changing job functions.

· Capable of working well with co-workers of different cultural backgrounds.
