Cleared Senior System Engineer
Bestgate is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support the modernization of malware analysis and develop techniques for metadata storage for knowledge management to support the defense of national security systems. The engineer will be a part of a team who explores new technologies and prototypes new mission tools and analytics. The team also develops new algorithms and innovative techniques to address mission related problems.

You Will: 

• Provide partner with another Senior System Engineer to provide over site and services to Data Services Team (Scrum Master)
• Design new features and provide engineering direction and oversight during planning, development, testing and implementation
• Coordinate across IPTs to ensure success development and coordination of features requiring cross team collaboration
• Provide technical direction and code reviews, if necessary

• 15 years or more of experience with a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience integrating systems into corporate services Developing and deploying applications in Linux environments.
• Creating system engineering diagrams and documentation
• Experience as Scrum Master
• Ability to multitask and pivot to different tasks quickly
• Experience with Atlassian tools (experience with managing JIRA)
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a closely related field is preferred. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience in engineering will be considered.
• Required Security Clearance: TS/SCI w/Poly

Desired Skills:

• Experience with IntelliJ or Eclipse IDE
• Developing and deploying applications in Linux environments
• Java (8 and above)
• REST
• Docker
• Troubleshooting in Linux environments
