Palmdale Regional Medical Center serves the region by providing high quality medical services to residents of the Antelope Valley, Santa Clarita Valley and surrounding communities. This opportunity offers the following: 

Essential Job Duties:

Reporting to the HR Manager the Human Resources Assistant will be a member of the HR Department in serving internal & external customers and provides outstanding service to our PRMC staff regarding policies, benefits, general forms processing, and other HR offerings.  He or she will maintain filing on a daily basis and may back up the HR Generalist with clerical, operational and assigned projects.

Qualifications

Requirements:

Strong clerical skills to include attention to detail, organization, proficiency, and productivity. Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload and to develop and organized plan to efficiently process and follow through as necessary.

Strong computer application skills to include Word, Excel, and HRIS maintenance. Strong data entry skills.

General HR knowledge to include, but not limited to recruitment, benefits, employee health.

Demonstrated knowledge of or aptitude for general HR knowledge to include, but not be limited to recruitment compensation, benefits, employee relations, and general knowledge of employment law.

Strong communication skills, both oral and written.

Job Responsibilities:

Provides daily administrative support to the Human Resources Department by ensuring all documentation, files, correspondence, and reports are accurate and are disseminated as appropriate in compliance with departmental procedure and State and Federal requirements.

Responsible for accurate and timely maintenance and tracking of Human Resources information in partnership with HR Generalists, HR Manager, Recruiters, Leadership and payroll, when applicable, to ensure overall quality service is provided. Maintenance and tracking to include, but not be limited to: Recruitment Processing, backup support to the HR Generalist to include, but not be limited to: New Hires, Benefit information, Orientation Scheduling, Badges/Security Access Cards, etc.

Assess incoming information/data as a tool to proactively provide necessary information to the HR Director and management team to ensure ongoing quality processing of data and communication.

Consistently provides timely and accurate follow-up to management team and workforce.

Develops self professionally in technical HR disciplines.

Demonstrates knowledge of HR policies, procedures and best practice.

Maintains confidentiality of internal communications and information.

Ensures a positive image of the department is presented and maintained.

Demonstrates ability to refer customer concerns/issues to appropriate resource and/or personnel.

Assist staff and visitors with a high level of customer service excellence.

Develops collaborative relationship with other departments and corporate Human Resources to facilitate and support quality services for the hospitals.

Strong working knowledge and ability to articulate general Human Resources functions to all levels of the organization.

Demonstrates a team commitment to the Human Resources Department.

Takes initiative and collaborates with team members to improve customer service by streamlining and expediting the on-boarding and other HR processes.

Assists HR Department with projects and daily tasks including routing correspondence; drafting letters and documents; collecting and analyzing information.

Assist HR Manager with maintaining and update HR bulletin boards in a timely manner.

Assist HR Manager maintains office supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; evaluation new office products, placing and expediting orders for supplies, verifying receipt of supplies.

Serves as Recording Secretary for monthly department meetings. Drafts agenda, schedules meetings, manages meeting logistics, and transcribes, formats, and distributes minutes. Assures action items are addressed and resolved.

Schedule/Reminder Notices for Orientation

Maintain employee personnel files electronically and maintenance of the HR file room.

Assists with file audits to ensure regulatory compliance.
