Golf Course Superintendent
Golf Club in Delaware, Ohio is looking for a Golf Course Superintendent.

Position Overview:
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and management of the golf course, ensuring it meets the highest standards of quality and playability. The position will lead a dedicated team of groundskeepers, technicians, and other staff to achieve optimal course conditions and enhance the overall golfing experience for our patrons.

Responsibilities:
• Turf Management: Implement and execute effective turf management practices to maintain the overall health and appearance of the golf course greens, fairways, tees, and roughs.
• Irrigation Management: Develop and manage irrigation programs to ensure proper watering schedules, equipment operation, and water conservation efforts.
• Pest and Disease Control: Implement integrated pest management programs to control weeds, insects, and diseases, ensuring a pest-free and healthy golf course environment.
• Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and repair of golf course maintenance equipment, ensuring that all machinery is in optimal working condition.
• Staff Supervision: Lead, train, and supervise a team of groundskeepers and maintenance staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Budget Management: Develop and manage the annual budget for the golf course maintenance department, ensuring efficient use of resources and cost-effectiveness.
• Environmental Compliance: Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and best practices, promoting sustainability in golf course management.
• Project Management: Plan and execute capital improvement projects, renovations, and course enhancements as needed.
• Communication: Collaborate with other departments, communicate with golf course management, and interact with golfers to address concerns and ensure a positive experience for all patrons.

Requirements:
Associates degree in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, or related field (preferred but not required).
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Golf Course Superintendent or Assistant in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of turfgrass and golf course maintenance practices.
GCSAA Member preferred, but not required
Experience with irrigation systems, pest control, and equipment maintenance.
Must have a current Ohio Pesticide License or must be able to attain one within 30 days of hire.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Budget management experience.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Compensation:
$60,000 – $65,000 per year.
Onsite housing.
Paid dues for GSCAA.
Meals.
Work clothing.
Performance holiday bonus.
