Job description

Summary:

This position is for a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) specializing in Urology, requiring 3-5 years of overall experience as an NP/PA, with specific experience in Urology preferred (1-2 years). The successful candidate will have the ability to make autonomous medical decisions and will be responsible for seeing patients of all ages in both clinic and inpatient settings. The workload involves seeing an average of 15-20 patients per day, with the option of a 3-day or 4-day workweek scheduled from Monday to Friday. Duties include seeing new and established clinic patients, utilizing the Cerner Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system. Please note that this position is not open to locum tenens candidates or new graduates; prior experience is required.

Requirements:

  1. Experience as NP/PA:

    • 3-5 years of experience working as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in a clinical setting.
  2. Urology-Specific Experience:

    • 1-2 years of specific experience in the field of Urology is required.
  3. Autonomous Medical Decision-Making:

    • Ability to exercise autonomy in medical decision-making, with confidence in managing patient care independently.
  4. Patient Caseload:

    • Comfortable seeing patients of all ages, with an average caseload of 15-20 patients per day.
  5. Work Schedule:

    • Availability to work a Monday-Friday schedule, including both clinic hours and inpatient rounding, with the option of a 3-day or 4-day workweek.
  6. Clinic Responsibilities:

    • Experience in seeing both new and established clinic patients, providing comprehensive care and treatment plans.
  7. Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Proficiency:

    • Familiarity with using the Cerner Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system or willingness to undergo training.
  8. Not Accepting Locums Candidates:

    • This position is not open to locum tenens candidates.
  9. Not Accepting New Graduate Candidates:

    • Prior experience as an NP/PA is required; new graduates will not be considered for this role.

This role requires a highly experienced and skilled Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) with a background in Urology, capable of providing high-quality care to patients across the lifespan in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
