Job description
As the BI/Data Visualization Analyst , you will play a pivotal role in translating complex data into visually compelling and easy-to-understand dashboards and reports. You will work closely with stakeholders across the organization to gather requirements, design Tableau solutions, and provide insights that drive business growth and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and objectives, and perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
- Create interactive and intuitive Tableau dashboards and reports that enable end-users to make data-driven decisions.
- Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into Tableau, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
- Apply best practices in data visualization to ensure that reports and dashboards are user-friendly and effective.
- Identify and implement optimizations for Tableau workbooks and dashboards to enhance performance and responsiveness.
- Provide training and support to end-users to help them effectively navigate and utilize Tableau dashboards.
- Maintain documentation of Tableau reports, data sources, and ETL processes.
- Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies.
- Stay up-to-date with Tableau advancements, industry trends, and best practices in BI and data visualization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Business Analytics) or equivalent work experience.
- 7 years of proven experience in data visualization and dashboard development using Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server and/or Salesforce CRM-A
- Tableau certification, such as Tableau Desktop Specialist, Tableau Desktop Certified Associate, or similar, is preferred.
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts is a plus.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a pubic trust. The public trust requires U.S. Citizenship.
